Summer Updates

Happy Well Deserved Summer! We survived! Wasn’t sure there for awhile lol!

A short update on happenings with The Sharing Tree.

First and foremost a huge thank you to all the families who have registered their students thus far.
We are approaching our registration deadline: July 31. Time to register your students now if you
need assistance getting your students ready for their first day of school.
Our annual New School Supply Collection begins tomorrow though Saturday August 5th for some of
our bin hosts:
Hudson SDA Church
The Purple Tree
WESTconsin Credit Union

A few partners have had ongoing new school supply collections:
Family of Christ, Houlton
FNC Bank
Sourcing Solutions
Wheelhouse Coffee

We can’t thank you enough for partnering with us. On top of managing your businesses, credit
unions, churches and banks you take time and resources to support our students helping to get
them on firm footing to start their school year prepared to learn. Our school supply wish list can be
found at our website thesharingtree.org

We also want to acknowledge citizens who’ve reached out to ‘sponsor’ students-you shop for
students registered with The Sharing Tree, some of you have done this for 10+ years! A big thank
you also to those who have financially supported us. Thank you thank you thank you.
The donated supplies from the above mentioned partners, their members, customers, and
congregants, and the supplies we’ve had to purchase to equip the registered students will be
bundled on our BPSN-Backpack Stuffing Night, really it’s grocery bag stuffing night as students
get to choose their backpacks at supply pick up. Thirty community volunteers will come together on
August 7th to bundle the registered student’s(we’re currently at 340) supplies per their classroom
teacher’s list. Anonymously.

Distribution Night(DN) happens on Wednesday August 9 for Hudson and Somerset families and
August 10th for Somerset families. Registered families: You will receive an email soon with your Pick
Up Time Window, if you don’t see it please check your spam folder!
It’s always hard for me to wrap my head around Back To School in mid summer when it feels like
school just let out. Families I’m sure you get it. For those who don’t ever get to experience Back To
School shopping: up and down the aisles, choosing every single supply that speaks to their
individuality, and money is no concern, The Sharing Tree is here to do the next best thing and we
couldn’t do it without our community partners.
